Replica is a live image processing performance I developed with Jeff Howard for the Big Screens 2010 show at the IAC Headquarters in NYC. Big Screens is a class at NYU's ITP, and its specific purpose is to design for the 120 feet long video wall at IAC.
Replica is a performance that explores how the awareness of one's own image affects self-perception over time. Patterns unfold, creating a dialogue between the performer and her representation, bringing the contrast of control and authenticity into question.
Replica was performed by dancer Claire Westby.
"Lost in the World" is performed by Kanye West.
